The IPE deck at project AMC3 is completed and a lot of detail work went into it. In order to satisfy the architects specifications, the deck was built with continuos 1/8" spacing between the boards, fastened with 2-1/2" trim head stainless steel screws and we used slightly thicker boards at the steps. As you can see in the pic to the left, the deck skirt is built out of a combination of IPE fascia board, stainless steel corrugated metal and a substructure to support it. The corrugated metal is clipped onto a paint grip metal louver system, so in case of driving rain, the louvers will shed as much water as posssible abck to the outside.
